Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Kiki aims to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore their identities and understand how societal factors affect their well-being. Her approach emphasizes client autonomy, choice, and empowerment, working collaboratively to challenge oppressive societal norms. She integrates trauma-informed care and psychodynamic therapy to enhance self-awareness, resilience, and effective coping strategies. She is dedicated to fostering an affirming therapeutic environment for clients of diverse backgrounds, promoting healing and growth.
Kiki has worked in addiction recovery for over seven years and in private practice for two years. Her expertise includes working with individuals who have struggled with substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, faith transitions, or are navigating a mixed-faith marriage. She also has experience in addressing the unique mental health concerns of LGBTQ+ individuals.
Kiki earned a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Utah Valley University, a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design, along with a Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling, from UVU.
Accepts patients 18+, but will work with 16+
